Deuteronomy 4:6
“Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is ONE!
5 “And you shall love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might.
6 “And these Words which I am commanding you today shall be in your heart,
7 and you shall impress them upon your children, and shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up,
8 and shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
9 “And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
Mark 12:28
And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” 29 Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is ONE. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” 32 And the scribe said to him, “You are right, Teacher. You have truly said that he is one, and there is no other besides him. 33 And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” 34 And when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”
Matthew 23:8
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 And call no man your father on earth, for you have ONE Father, who is in heaven. 10 Neither be called instructors, for you have ONE instructor, the Christ.
John 10:16
“I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become ONE flock with one shepherd.
John 7:16
“My teaching is not My own,” Jesus replied. “It comes from Him who sent Me. 17 If anyone desires to do His will, he will know whether My teaching is from God or whether I speak on My own. 18 He who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory, but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is a man of truth; in Him there is no falsehood.
John 8: 26
“I have much to say about you and much to judge. But the one who sent Me is truthful, and what I have heard from Him, I tell the world.”
John 12:47
If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48 The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. 49 For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment—what to say and what to speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”
Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. 36 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son
Mark 13: 31
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away. 32 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
The point of this blog is to point out some clear statements from scripture from which we can see a few obvious truths.
First- We have ONE God and our God is one. We should be united in worshiping only YHVH.
We have ONE teacher and that is Yeshua. We should be united in hearing, obeying and following the example of Yeshua.
There is ONE flock. There should be no divisions. The flock should be devoted to following the Law of YHVH as that is what the scriptures and our teacher Yeshua tell us is the path to eternal life.
Second- YHVH is God. YHVH is the Father that Yeshua was sent by.
Yeshua was sent by YHVH and only spoke the message that YHVH gave him to speak. Yeshua is not God. Yeshua said that he did not know the day or hour of the establishment of YHVH’s kingdom. Yeshua is the Prophet of Deuteronomy 18.
Deuteronomy 18:17
Then the LORD said to me, “They have spoken well. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. 19 And I will hold accountable anyone who does not listen to My words that the prophet speaks in My name.
Third- There should only be one Flock. Yeshua did not come to start another religion. Yeshua came to Reform Judaism. He came to eliminate the man made rules and traditions that had been added to the Law of YHVH (the oral Torah) and to call Israel to repentance and to return to the true worship of YHVH. He also came to call the nations to join into the worship of YHVH, to create that one flock.
Israel rejected Yeshua’s call to repentance. They handed over Yeshua to Rome for execution. In 70 AD the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by those same Romans and many of the people of Israel were likewise executed. The early followers of Yeshua were persecuted and many were killed. That early movement started by the followers of Yeshua was driven into hiding and exile and the movement was hijacked by pagan Rome which became it’s headquarters. The movement was systematically paganized. Yeshua became a god (something inconceivable to the true followers of YHVH). The movement was given a Roman authority to teach doctrine and rule over it’s followers. The sabbath was changed from the 7th day of the week to the first day which was called Sunday and was the day of Rome’s god sol Invictus. The practice of Judaism, the religion of Abraham, of Moses and of Yeshua was purged from the new religion and Christianity was born. The teachings of the Torah, the prophets and the teachings of Yeshua were given lip service only and the teachings of a self proclaimed Apostle (Paul of Tarsus) became the official teachings of the Church. Yeshua’s teachings of a purified Jewish worship of YHVH complete with obedience to the Law of Moses was relegated to the past and only belief in Yeshua’s death, burial and resurrection was taught. Very few demands were made on the new christians except an absolute obedience to the Roman church, a confession of faith and a few platitudes. The church has proven itself to be a poor follower of YHVH. It has at various times advocated for things like the crusades, the killing of native peoples in the lands it invaded, slavery, antisemitism and the killing of Jews under the nazis (Hitler quoted Paul of Tarsus)
1 Thessalonians 2:15
Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:).
Today many of the evangelical churches support the Christian nationalist movement which is led by immoral men and is engaging in taking money from the poor among us and siphoning it to the wealthy in the form of tax cuts. They are mistreating immigrants. They villainize black and brown minorities. They are loosening consumer protections, environmental laws and workers rights. They embrace wealth and preach a prosperity gospel in which the wealthy are considered more virtuous than the poor. They serve mammon, not God, and lust for power.
It is obvious that this is incompatible with the teachings of the one they claim to worship. This is not the true religion of YHVH.
Fortunately, many that are seeking the truth are waking up to this reality. They are asking questions and praying for answers. YHVH is hearing those prayers and the restoration of all things is beginning. It will not be easy and it will not be bloodless. There will be a time of upheaval and violence. The powers that control this world will not surrender. But, they will be defeated.
Matthew 13:24
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Matthew 13:36
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
These are the words of the one God YHVH as spoken by Yeshua.
I call you to repent! For the kingdom is truly at hand and the time left to us is short.
