My Gospel

I want to write to you about the one in which much of the world has place their hope of salvation in. This man is the lynchpin and centerpiece of their faith. In fact it is because of him that salvation by faith is said to be possible and attainable. Without him Christianity as we know it would not exist. He is the founder of Christianity. It is through his teachings that many that call themselves the elect have the hope of eternal life. He has changed the course of human history about as much a man could. His words are quoted in churches around the world every Sunday and have been for centuries. Scholars have written many books about him and studied his life and travels and his teachings have influenced generations of Christians. Seminaries and universities teach his theology and his doctrines. If you speak a word against him you do so to your own peril. Unfortunately however he was a fraud. He was a liar. He was not a prophet and he certainly was not the Messiah. Those that place their faith in him and his words in the hope of eternal salvation will be sadly disappointed. His words are not the words of life. Those that have taken up their cross and followed him have followed him to the grave where he himself now resides.

I am speaking of the man Paul of Tarsus. Oh, you thought I was speaking of Yeshua? No, he did not found Christianity, He practiced Judaism. No, he is not the one whose teachings have inspired this corrupt world. In fact his teachings have been mostly disregarded . He is given a seat of honor. But, like an old grandfather with dementia, he is not allowed to speak much and is largely ignored when he does speak. No, the star of the show in Christianity is Paul. The Church headlines their version of Jesus but when the curtain rises it is Paul at center stage. It is truly a classic case of bait and switch. Yeshua the jewish Rabbi, is only given lip service.

If you attend church, I challenge you to keep a tally of how many times the person preaching or teaching references Yeshua against how many times they reference Paul. If you keep an accurate count over a couple of months or more, you will be astounded. The words of Paul will outnumber the words of Yeshua more than three to one usually.

Well, you say, they taught the same things right?

Yeshua said,
Matthew 5:17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them

Paul said,
Ephesians 2:15 having annulled in His flesh the law of commandments in ordinances, so that He might create in Himself the two into one new man, making peace,

Yeshua said,
Matthew 19:17 He said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

Paul said,
Romans 2:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Yeshua said,
Matthew 5:18 For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

Paul said,
Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

It is obvious that Paul taught that God’s law was abolished. Let me ask you. By what authority did Paul abolish God’s law?

Psalm 119:160 All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.

God’s laws are eternal. No one has the authority to dismiss a single letter of the law. Especially a person that that claims the authority to do so based on a vision he claimed to have. Was it a hallucination? Did he lie? Were there other witnesses to the event he claims happened? What are their names? What is their testimony? No, we have no record of any other witnesses. So, one man’s testimony is enough evidence for you to believe that God’s Laws, (which the scriptures say are eternal and the Jesus you claim to follow said would not pass away until all things were fulfilled) are now abolished? You will base your hope of salvation on Paul’s claim? Should we also believe Joseph Smith the founder of the Mormon Church who made almost the exact same claim?
I will not. It doesn’t pass the test of agreeing with the previous scripture’s testimony. Neither the Law nor the prophets say the law will be abolished. No, they say that Messiah will establish the law and he did.

Yeshua said,

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven. But whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

After all, Paul saw Jesus in a vision on the road to Damascus and was commissioned by him to be the apostle to the gentiles right? Only according to Paul and there is no way to verify his claim. Paul asks you to accept it upon his word, by faith.

Acts 15:7 After much discussion, Peter got up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you that the Gentiles would hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.

Peter who followed Yeshua during his entire ministry, was taught by him and was present when Yeshua commissioned them to go out and spread his teachings, said he was chosen to bring the gospel to the Gentiles.

But, “Paul’s books are in the Bible” you say. Let me ask you, who decided from the many manuscripts, books and letters circulating, which would be included in the cannon of the Bible? I will tell you. The cannon of scripture has never been ratified by a general council of the whole church. What you have in your Bible was decided by a group of Roman Catholic Bishops. The final council to codify what should be included in the Bible was the Council of Trent (1545-1563 AD ). Then just a couple of hundred years ago the King James Bible discontinued a few books known as the apocrypha deciding that they were not inspired. So, the cannon has been in flux and has varied its contents for a very long time. The Apostle Jude, who happened to be the brother of Yeshua quotes the book of Enoch as Holy scripture (see Jude 15-16) Yet, we no longer have it in our bibles. Just because a letter from Paul is included in your Bible does not mean that it has authority or necessarily should be in your Bible.

If you read all of Paul’s letters you will discover that Paul never once preaches on Yeshua’s parables. Not once does he expound on Yeshua’s teachings. Only once does he quote him. Paul preaches his own gospel and literally calls it “my gospel” (see Romans 2:16, Romans 16:25 and second Timothy 2:8). Paul was obsessed with faith. He did not preach “repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” like Yeshua and his Apostles. He preached a faith and belief message. When one lacks evidence for one’s teachings one asks to be accepted by faith. I’m reminded of a used car salesman “I’m an expert, trust me”.

I started this blog entry by throwing you a little curve ball. It was intended to get your attention and perhaps startle you a bit and get you to think about the flimsy evidence on which Paul claimed his authority and apostleship. I hope you will read and study for yourself. I hope you will base your salvation on the words of YHVH’s Law, His prophets words and upon the teachings of Yeshua that confirm YHVH’s Laws. I hope you will be bold enough and honest enough to question the things that you have been taught up until now. I hope you will compare the words of Yeshua, the books of the law and the words of the prophets with your churches doctrines and will abandon man made teachings not contained in them. Almost everything In scripture that came before Paul is filtered through the lens of Paul. His teachings have become the foundation of Christianity and a rotten and often corrupt empire has been built upon it. An empire of profit, abuse, nationalism, greed and selfishness. Paul’s words have been used to justify slavery and to silence women in the church. They have been used to justify antisemitism and the holocaust. Paul said to obey earthly governments and rulers but Yeshua said to obey God. I will leave you with these words spoken by Yeshua. If you claim to follow him, then follow him.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, by their fruit you will recognize them. 21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’

LAWLESSNESS!
